Purchasing A Home with Your ‘Eyes Wide Open’

Are you purchasing a home with your “eyes wide open?”

A few weeks ago, we performed an inspection for a homeowner. He was absolutely AMAZED at the level of detail we provided compared to the inspection he had performed by another inspector when he purchased the home.

We identified a number of issues that weren’t identified in his original report. We took the time to help him prioritize repair projects and even gave him an estimate of the cost of these repairs.  We provided him with this information based on our extensive construction and inspection experience.  When we were done, the homeowner said that he still would have purchased the home, but it would have been very helpful to have had a thorough inspection before he bought the home so he could save money, time and a lot of effort after he bought the house.

A home inspection isn’t performed just to find “problems.” There are minor issues with nearly every home.   A  thorough inspection performed by a quality, experienced home inspector can help home buyers prioritize repairs and upgrades — and can even provide buyers with an idea of what these projects might cost.
